The COVID-19 pandemic continues to present Member States with complex, multifaceted, and constantly evolving challenges that affect almost every area of policy and practice, including counter-terrorism and countering violent extremism (CVE). Over the past nine months, the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) has worked with all its partners to assess and evaluate the impacts of the pandemic on the terrorist threat, as well as on counterterrorism and CVE responses.
