Advancing CVE Research: The Roles of Global and Regional Coordinating Bodies

An increasing number of institutions and scholars focusing on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) and related research has emerged in the recent past, as has a number of networks to help coordinate and facilitate such research initiatives. Notably, this development includes the establishment of “Hedayah”, the first-ever International Center of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism, in 20121 , and the more recent launch of the RESOLVE (Researching Solutions to Violent Extremism Network) global network in September 20152.
