Urban Lawyers was initiated in 2012 by a barrister working at Doughty Street Chambers in London, Urban Lawyers comprises of a team of dedicated volunteers who have developed an online education resource portal that is designed to educate, engage, and stimulate discussion amongst young people about their attitudes pertaining to Criminal Law, policing, and personal responsibility. It is a platform that allows young people to ‘access law’ and provides information to people who would not otherwise have access to it. This is done through a practical educational programme for schools, charities, and organisations that work with young people to engage youth-centred discussions regarding their opinions towards law and order in the United Kingdom.
